I didn’t really know much about Harvey Pekar until I watched American Splendor. I only really watched that because I like Paul Giamatti. He always seems to play characters I can relate too… Anyway I loved the film and it made me think Harvey Pekar is someone I can relate to as well.

I didn’t know much about him until American Splendor too but after seeing it, I really started appreciating the ‘artist in the office’ type. It made me feel like I could do the same. Stay creative even if I was stuck in awful jobs. I ended up checking out some of his comic books and really enjoyed his writing style.
